Our Story
motedartkoler.com started in 2024 as a personal side project. Two developers and one designer sat down with a simple idea: build the kind of game you can open on any device, play for five minutes during a break, and find yourself still playing twenty minutes later.
Stick Jump was the result. We wanted a game that had exactly one mechanic, executed perfectly. Hold to extend a stick. Release at the right moment. Land on the platform. That's it — and yet there's a surprising amount of depth hidden inside that simplicity.
We launched quietly, shared it with a few friends, and the word spread faster than we expected. Today motedartkoler.com serves tens of thousands of players every month, and we're proud of every single run they take.
What Makes Stick Jump Special
A lot of casual browser games try to do too much. They layer in systems, currencies, unlocks, and notifications until the core fun gets buried. We went the opposite direction.
Stick Jump has one goal: get further than your last run. Everything — the minimalist art style, the crisp sound design, the instant restart — is designed to support that goal without getting in the way. We believe the best games don't need to explain themselves, and we think Stick Jump proves that.
One mechanic, infinite depth. We'd rather do one thing brilliantly than ten things adequately.
The Technology
Stick Jump runs entirely in the browser using HTML5 canvas and vanilla JavaScript. There are no external dependencies, no tracking scripts beyond basic analytics, and no ads interrupting your game. The entire experience is designed to load fast and run smoothly on every device from a mid-range smartphone to a desktop workstation.
We optimized the game loop carefully to maintain 60 fps even on older hardware, because choppy gameplay destroys the timing feel that makes Stick Jump work.
